My Work.
One of the most enjoyable tasks I do as a therapist is walk alongside someone as they find purpose, meaning, and peace in their life. I specialize in helping people work through anxiety and depression, increase their relationship satisfaction, and discover and connect with their core values.

What can I expect during our sessions?Expect a warm and accepting atmosphere. I view my job as a guide and an expert on the process of therapy. All you have to do is be yourself.
Sometimes I may challenge you sometimes we will spend time exploring the past or working on the future. Other times we will use the space to heal and take a breath from the stresses of life. What is your approach to therapy?I base my therapy on authenticity, values, and strengths. I am trained in marriage and family therapy and often use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and evidenced based models.

What is the time commitment for therapy? The overall time you spend in therapy is really up to you, but most people spend from 8 weeks to a few months in the process.
Therapy sessions are 45 minutes long. If we meet for a longer period of time, we will discuss that ahead of time. Most people prefer to meet weekly or every other week, but we will be sure to find the rhythm that meets your needs the best. What types of clients do you see?I work with individuals, couples, and families.
I do a lot of work with adolescents, those struggling with anxiety or depression, and those looking for value clarification. I work with ages 10 and up. I may make certain exceptions for younger clients, but I will often refer to a local registered play therapist. |
What do the initials after your name mean?MA means that I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, LPC-S means that I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, LMFT-S means that I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor.
WholeFIT and Grip-Birkman are both coaching models I am trained in. How much does therapy cost?I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage.
Sessions range from $100 to $120 and are prorated for longer sessions. I take HSA cards and can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. For a deeper explanation of why I do not take insurance, you can read my thoughts here. I have morning, day time, and evening appointments available.
